Day 20

Today we explored Sempu Island which is a small island located about three hours south of Malang. To get to the island we had to take a small boat and disembark in a Mangrove Forest. After that we hiked about 3 kilometres trough the dense jungle to explore a beautiful lagoon which is connected to the Indian Ocean.

The beach is home to a large group of Macaque Monkeys. Luckily we had our guide to make sure our bags were save whilst swimming..

After hiking back to the mangrove forest it was time for a nice barbecued lunch..

Tomorrow it is back on the train to explore the most eastern region of Java, Banyuwangi.
