Singapore, Kampong Glam & Marina Bay

Today we started wandering close to our hotel to get some coffee and came across the quint Arab Quarter aka Little Arabia in Kampong Glam. This, pretty touristy, neighbourhood is full of fun shops, bars and restaurants. Of course it’s also home to the big Masjid Sultan Mosque which was built in 1928.

After getting some lunch in a Hawker Centre we decided to take a small break at our Rooftop Pool..

Time to explore the Marina area and get some dinner in the Satay by the Bay Hawker Centre. The Marina Bay has some of the best views in Singapore and has the famous Gardens by the Bay.

After dinner we went into the Flower Dome (the 2nd of two domes, the first we did 2 years ago) and watched the

After dinner we went into the Flower Dome (the 2nd of two domes, the first we did 2 years ago) and watched the "Star Wars" Light Show. We then walked, due to a Google Map error, almost 10 kilometres back to our hotel.. Painful feet but nice to see Singapore of the beaten path.
