Day 13

Time to fly home via Istanbul and Dusseldorf.

Approaching the new Istanbul Airport while flying over the old, now closed, Ataturk Airport (from day 1)..

The new airport is beautiful although it is a bit too large with walking times up to 30 minutes from gate to gate. And the taxi journey to-and-from the runway also takes 30 minutes..

Luckily Lianne was waiting to take us home..

It was a fun journey exploring non-touristy countries but it is always good to be back home.
