32°Today is another travel day on our way to Palenque. Straight onto the highway we encountered a road block due to an accident which cost us about half an hour.
Around lunch time we visited the Misol-Ha waterfall close to Palenque.
Behind the waterfall was a cave with an other waterfall and many bats..
Time to check into our hotel and explore Palenque town for a bit.
Nothing is more lovely then jumping into a cold pool after a long drive and with high humidity levels. Time for some food!
Tomorrow we will visit the Palenque Ruins and continue our way. We are skipping an extra day in Palenque because the intented road through the mountains to San Cristóbal de las Casas appears to have safety issues. We decided to cut our Palenque visit short and take a detour via Villahermosa.
